Forest Lake is the main attraction in the Thousand Hills State Park. The area is well kept, and gives you the feeling of being in the wild. The water is cool with woody shores including the savannas. There are several activities to enjoy in the park like fishing and boating, plus swimming in Forest Lake is allowed. You can have a picnic at several sites. The park also has trails for hiking and mountain biking. You can even spend the night camping or staying in one of the duplex cabins located right on the lake. The swimming beach has a snack bar, and there is also a restaurant inside the state park.
