The Meramec River, one of the longest free flowing rivers in Missouri, is about 200-miles long. It starts in the agricultural county of Dent, Missouri, and ends up joining the Mississippi River near St. Louis, Missouri. The Meramec River is fed by Meramec Spring and several smaller springs and can be floated year round. The most popular are for floating is between Maramec Spring and Meramec State Park. There is also great fishing on the Meramec River, see below for all the different fish species.
